As an ISO9001 and AS9100 certified company, we maintain rigorous quality standards and adhere to industry best practices to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Manage the development and strategic implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with current and future relevant legislation and industry best practice.Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and strategic insights on health and safety matters to internal stakeholders, including senior management.Facilitate effective consultation through engagement with Safety Committees and Safety Representatives to drive alignment and consensus.Act as an ambassador and promote the development of a positive H&S culture of excellence and inclusion within the organisation.Manage and support/deliver comprehensive HSE training programs, including onboarding, company requirements, procedural updates, and new legal requirements, ensuring all employees and contractors are informed and compliant.Lead the compilation and analysis of accident investigation reports, utilizing data-driven insights to support accident prevention initiatives and enhance safety practices throughout Ohshima.Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of work areas, operations and systems; monitor and support corrective and preventative actions.Oversee the development and execution of Emergency Plans, including evacuation procedures and drills, to ensure readiness and compliance across all operational areas.Provision of health and safety reports and metrics to Senior Management and administer Health and Safety software systems around document control, auditing, incident reporting etc.Requirements and Skills: Third level qualification in Health & Safety or similar is required or recognised safety qualificationAt least 2-3 years on-site Safety Officer experience (experience in the manufacturing sector would be an advantage but not mandatory)Experience in risk assessment and strong understanding of Irish and EU health and safety legal requirementsCompetent auditor and training experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in delivering training;A self-starter with a proven ability to work on own initiative, with problem solving skills and be innovative;
