We are currently looking for a Financial Manager to join our team based in Loughrea, Co Galway.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday with potential WFH in line with company policy.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The Financial Manager will oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with accounting standards. The role requires a detail-oriented individual.
Job Description:
1. Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts.
2. Preparation, analysis, and posting of journals at month end.
3. Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month end.
4. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
5. Enhancement of existing processes and development of new ones to ensure the most efficient completion of duties.
6. Tracking of KPI's across the business.
7. Responsible for budgeting and cash forecasting.
8. Develop a close working relationship with the wider finance team to provide support as needed.
9. Coordinate statutory audits.
10. Oversee various finance team members.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. 2-4 years relevant post-qualification experience.
4. Proven experience of managing a finance team and driving best practice.
5. Proven experience in managing compliance with Internal Control systems and IFRS.
6. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-moving environment.
7. SAP/Sage/NAV or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
