Purpose of Role
Working closely with the Fundraising Team Lead to initiate, plan, design, and execute events on a national and regional level, ensuring income targets are met.
To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, organised, structured, and have good people management and customer service skills. You will be required to travel and work outside of normal working hours when attending events, branch meetings, and other relevant meetings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and feedback for events both nationally and regionally ensuring income targets are met.
2. Full profit and loss ownership and accountability for events managed.
3. Maintain and grow national and regional events – driving year on year engagement and profitability.
4. Creation of new events on a regional and national scale.
5. Research and development to enable IGDB’s participation or charity partner status in existing third-party events.
6. Maintain and build relationships with Regional Development Officers, Fundraising Branches, and volunteers to support growth and ensure rota management.
7. Oversee and support volunteers at events as key point of contact.
8. Ensure permits, permissions, insurance, and legislation are in place for all events.
9. Provide training, information, and support for all volunteers attending events.
10. Work with the Communications team to deliver publicity for and coverage of events.
11. Responsible for the correct implementation of IGDB’s codes of conduct, policy, and health and safety rules.
12. Implement an effective reporting system to track activity and outputs (using in-house CRM system and business intelligence tools).
In addition to these key accountabilities, you may also have ownership for one or more key processes which will be communicated to you via your manager and/or the Performance Management framework.

Experience, Education and Skills
1. Proven experience in a comparable project management/events/fundraising role.
2. Experience of organising and running events on a large scale and working with multiple stakeholders.
3. Strong evidence of continuous professional development and qualification relevant to the role is desirable.
4. Ability to deliver targets and goals with a flair for business development and the ability to develop and achieve results.
5. Must have the ability to operate independently with innovative spirit and to forge strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
6. Comfortable in a cold-calling environment.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
8. Excellent time management and experience multi-tasking across concurrent projects.
9. Excellent verbal, written presentation/IT skills and communication skills.
10. Demonstrate understanding of people management, motivations and working styles and requirements.
11. Experience and contacts within the corporate community.
Special Conditions
1. Full clean driving licence and a willingness to travel to various regional locations essential.
2. Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
3. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required on an ad hoc basis.
