IT Business Partner cum Project Manager:
The candidate is expected to ensure successful delivery of the initiatives and projects to the ST Engineering business entities in a particular business area or region and support the business IT requirements.
The IT Business Partner cum Project Manager is responsible for the technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management for the business entities assigned. He/she would typically be knowledgeable about processes and practices in the business domain to which the IT system is to be deployed.
As Business Partner, the candidate is required to coordinate the work of other IT professionals, business users and administrative staff to achieve the required business outcomes. The core elements of the job are about organizing people, time and resources, and seeing the project and business IT requirements through from inception to completion and on-going IT operations. The candidate will have ultimate responsibility for meeting the business's needs.
As Project Manager, the candidate plans, monitors and executes information technology projects to ensure that they are successfully implemented in accordance to stated project goals and objectives. The candidate is required to organise and integrate cross functional teams for the successful delivery of the assigned projects.
In performing the role, the candidate is expected to do the following:
1. Understand the business IT requirements and translate the requirements into viable technical solutions in partnership with other IT and Cybersecurity technical specialists.
2. Develop project plans, goals, schedules and budgets; identify resources needed.
3. Secure agreement and approval from the business entities for the projects.
4. Plan and execute the dissemination of project communications.
5. Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion and successful deployment including post-delivery support of the system, local and overseas.
6. Establish deep engagement with business stakeholders to identify continuous improvement and value-added opportunities.
The ideal candidate should possess:
7. Professional qualification in Project Management
8. At least 5 years’ experience in developing and implementing a major IT systems, at least 3 years of which should be in a portfolio project management and leadership role
9. Strong business stakeholders communication skills and experience working with local and global partners
10. Experience in IT infrastructure including hybrid cloud-based infrastructure set up projects
11. Experience in implementing SAP ERP systems and software application systems
12. Experience in applying newer or emerging technology (e.g. RPA, Data Science/Analytics, LLMs, Generative AI, IoT, Robotics, AGV, VR/AR, 5G).
13. Cybersecurity knowledge
14. Position on 2 years contract
