Communications & CSR Manager – 12 month contract
The Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Communications & CSR Manager to manage their reputation and promote a favourable image of their organisation.
This position involves overseeing both internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and engagement across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a confident manager with a proven track record in developing well-planned and insightful communication strategies. They should also have experience in creative content development and established connections with key industry media.
Additionally, the role encompasses Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social value, focusing on aligning sustainability initiatives with overall business objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and implementing CSR strategies that resonate with stakeholders and create a positive impact on both people and the planet.
This position is based in Dublin 17.
Responsibilities:
Internal & External Communications
1. Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed.
2. Manage internal communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, and email.
3. Collaborate with other departments to communicate company policies and updates.
4. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, making improvements.
5. Support the organisation of internal events.
6. Develop and execute external communication strategies to promote the organisation's brand and reputation.
7. Manage media relations, including drafting statements, press releases, and handling media inquiries.
8. Identify appropriate news angles to generate positive press coverage.
9. Provide strategic communications counsel to the Executive Leadership Team.
10. Oversee communications and issues management.
11. Ensure the quality control of all internal and external communications.
12. Manage social media channels and content.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
1. Promote and implement sustainability strategies, focusing on community engagement.
2. Organise and manage community outreach programs, including volunteer activities.
3. Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement initiatives.
4. Offer guidance and support to senior leadership on CSR-related matters.
Key Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
* 5+ years’ experience in a PR/Communications role within a high-performance environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in media relations within B2B and/or B2C environments.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
* Proven track record of collaborating and establishing good working relationships.
* Strong ability to identify and place news stories in national, regional, and trade media.
* Experience in issues management, with the ability to implement responses that protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation.
* A proactive team player who can work independently, lead from the front, and inspire colleagues and clients alike.
* A third-level qualification in Communications, PR, Business, or Journalism is advantageous.
* A full driver’s licence.
