The Opportunity This is a new and exciting opportunity to join our growing Company Secretarial team.
We are recruiting a graduate or postgraduate who is ambitious and wants to excel in their career specialising in company secretarial and corporate governance.
The role of a company secretary offers exposure to working with senior management in Irish and global businesses.
The work is both interesting and varied, with clients increasingly relying on our service to navigate current and proposed future legislation.
The company offers a programme with structured on-the-job training and completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Corporate Governance.
The work experience and Postgraduate Diploma leads to a qualification as an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities:Preparation and filing of Annual Returns and taking responsibility for ensuring that clients are meeting their statutory filing obligationsPreparation and filing of ad hoc statutory forms at the Companies Registration Office (e.g.
change of officer, change of address etc.
)Incorporating companies and preparing de-shelving documents including company officer details and changes to share capitalPreparing board minutes, AGM packs and EGM packsUpdating and maintaining the company secretarial databaseMaintaining company Minute Books and Statutory RegistersDealing with queries and requests, on a day-to-day basis, from clients, auditors, solicitors and internal staffResponsibility for billing clients and debtors' collectionFiling, archiving and general administrative duties. The Person The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Have completed or have a desire to complete the post graduate Diploma in Management and Corporate Governance to obtain The Chartered Governance Institute QualificationThird level degree (Level 8) required.
A degree in the areas of Law or Business would be beneficialExperience in a professional services environment is ideal but not requiredExcellent IT skills and proficiency working on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to prioritise, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
