Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative mechanical engineer to join our team at Cork Innovation Centre for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently determining and developing approaches to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
The ideal candidate will use the latest engineering techniques to reduce product time to market while adhering to regulatory requirements, project deadlines, and product costs. They will build productive internal and external working relationships and may periodically provide guidance and train other team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with Stryker new product development procedures.
* Evaluate quality of process and product as defined in operation and material specifications.
* Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
* Work with quality engineers to develop component-specific testing and inspection protocols.
* Maintain adherence to GMP and safety procedures.
* Review and approval of validation documentation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
* At least two years' experience or a related master's degree.
* Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), related statistical tools, and validation/verification techniques.
* Certified in validation activities.
