S/he will be required to work a shift rota as required.General Day to Day of the role; Maintenance and trouble-shooting of client utilities systemsAssist Veolia Engineering team to update Utilities Standard Operating Procedures and ensure training is carried outSupervision of vendors and subcontractors on siteEnsure that all work permits are signed as area owner by the relevant shift membersBe fully aware of the terms of the site IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention Control) licence and ensure that all actions/operations on site are within the terms.All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia QHSE rules and guidelinesProfessional and courteous interaction with clientCompletion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelinesDelivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements;Keep training current in line with client’s requirements, i.e. SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and other Engineering Work InstructionsMust be able to organise and prioritise tasks; must be detail oriented and self-motivated.Take system ownership for specified equipmentActively participate in Continuous Improvement projects with the teamSupport Energy Improvement projects across the Utilities plantEnsures that all utilities equipment is available at all times. Any equipment deviations are reported in the first instance as per the site escalation process.Carryout Investigations on Utilities Equipment, identify problem areas and assist in improvement proceduresMust be able to work independently on their own projects while working concurrently with all departments and levels of employees.Ensure that the minimum shift numbers are maintained at all times.Ensures all issues over shift are communicated to the next shift on shift change-over in a smooth and efficient mannerTo Assist with Planned and unplanned Shutdowns.Update stores spare lists as appropriateAny other activities as directed by the Veolia Contract Manager Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performed.To be successful in this role you will need: Technical certification ( Min Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical ,Electrical engineering) or related field with 3 years minimum experience and good understanding of the basic fundamentals of the various utilities systems.Pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, (DHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, CIP systems, Low /Medium voltage Electrical Systems, Wastewater treatmentBuilding Management SystemsGood understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems.PLC’sWork within a Computerised Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.Work within a documented Permit to Work SystemSolid computer skillsAbility to read and understand P&ID’s.Understanding of SOP’s and GMP Engineering systems.Understanding of Basic InstrumentationTroubleshooting / repair of Mechanical systemsTeam Player.Attention to detailMethodical & Analytical approach to work.
