Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer, has instructed us to search for a Procurement Engineer. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading and managing its Site Productivity Programme. This role will report to the Head of Procurement.

Duties:
* Lead and advance the Site Productivity Programme, providing Procurement cost reduction initiatives to achieve business targets.
* Maintain material cost reductions by participating in cost negotiations with suppliers.
* Provide progress reports and ensure the Site Productivity processes are maintained in compliance with Corporate requirements and standards.
* Liaise with Commodity Management to implement supplier changes to improve performance and reduce costs.
* Maintain new supplier evaluations and approvals to meet business needs.
* Promote Cost Value Engineering model with larger suppliers.
* Ensure strong preparation for negotiations while working closely with Commodity Management.
* Identify risk situations and work with Strategic Procurement to develop risk mitigation strategies.
* Provide overall strategic and operational performance of the supply base by leading various projects.
Skills & Education:
* BA degree in Engineering or related Science.
* 3-5+ years’ experience within a Procurement function.
* Strong commodity experience - suppliers, materials, technology, and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent team player with experience managing stakeholder relationships.
* Strong problem-solving skills and good ability to analyze data for decision-making.
* Ability to build strong business relationships with suppliers.
* Excellent oral communication, writing skills, and presentation skills.
