Job Details Role Requirements Role Requirement 1 Co-Ordination Support the development and implementation of a national plan for the phased, supported and simultaneous implementation of Solta and Aistear Development and implementation of an annual NSAI work plan agreed by the CPD Oversight Group, laying out all aspects of the work for the year, with flexibility to respond to sector needs. Engage with other Organisations (including ABCs, Better Start, CCCs, NCCA, Childcare Support Organisations) to support the delivery of the annual NSAI work plan. Support and work with a team of mentors and Better Start early years specialists supporting the implementation of Aistear and Solta. Co-ordinate training and CPD opportunities for Early Years Educators and mentors in the ongoing development and roll-out of Solta and Aistear. Develop training materials and resources for quality improvement in the sector. Work effectively across Better Start, engaging with National Team Leads, Team leaders and Early Years Specialists. Support the development and implementation of single, integrated quality framework for both inspection activities and self-evaluation, to support providers assess their own performance along the quality spectrum, from compliance to excellence. Develop and support communities of professional practice in early learning and care settings and work effectively with educators and setting leaders/managers. Role Requirement 2 Management & Reporting Support the work of the CPD Oversight Group and participate collaboratively in the NSAI Resource Development Group. In collaboration with the National Manager (SDP), National Team Lead (SDP) and Key stakeholders establish and ensure the quality and consistency of service delivery and reporting. Manage the collation of data at required intervals in required formats and publish reports and thematic reviews on the work of the service. Support the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework. Conduct surveys/thematic studies on programme outcomes/identified themes. Ensure the programme delivery reflects a strong commitment to service excellence, customer care and Better Start Code of Ethics Engage in professional support and supervision with line manager. Develop and administer an information management system to allow for the scheduling, tracking and reporting of activities associated with the National Solta Aistear Initiative. Role Requirement 3 Networking Liaison, relationship development and briefings with early years professionals in other disciplines and agencies such as; the Child & Family Agency -Tusla, the Department of Education, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, City and County Childcare Committees, Childcare Support Organisations as relevant to the role. Attendance at conferences/seminars as a representative of Better Start and NSAI Role Requirement 4 Programme Development In collaboration with the National Manager (SDP) and National Team Lead (SDP) manage new developments and changing work practices and the effective implementation of these changes. Support the integration of quality and inclusion practice. Support the development and implementation of a quality assurance framework. Work with the team on the implementation of change and organisational development. Any other duties within the general requirement of this job description which may be required from time to time as the programme develops and expands. Required Experience Minimum 5 years' post qualifying experience. Experience of delivering training to adults In-depth knowledge of early childhood (birth - 6) practice and provision. Understanding and experience of social inclusion and disability issues In-depth knowledge of the two national early childhood frameworks, Aistear and Solta, and the Aistear-Solta Practice Guide. Evidence of the production of high-quality reports and written material Proficient in MS packages e.g., Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, programme databases, SharePoint portal. Qualifications Minimum third level qualification at level 8 (or equivalent) on the National Framework of Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care/or an equivalent professional qualification. Drivers licence with suitable means of transport.
