Electrical Project Planner
Salary: €60k – €80k
Location: Co. Limerick
Role Purpose: We are currently recruiting an Electrical Project Planner on behalf of our client. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing schedules for the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases of electrical projects. You will represent the client at subcontractor and client meetings, and provide updates to the project manager for the production of progress reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review main contractor program/contract documentation and highlight key scheduling and tracking requirements.
* Develop construction schedules in collaboration with the Main Contractor and Project Manager.
* Measure quantities from drawings/BOQs to generate progress reports.
* Track and validate weekly progress with the site team and coordinate with the commercial/project teams.
* Conduct site visits and collaborate with the construction team to log and capture issues affecting project progress.
* Create and manage trackers and reporting templates.
* Identify and communicate potential risks and roadblocks to the project team.
* Monitor subcontractor progress and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
* Represent the client at progress and planning meetings.
* Ensure compliance with the client’s Quality Management System.
Requirements:
* A 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or strong trades background coupled with technical ability will be considered.
* Ideally you will possess 4+ years’ experience / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work.
* Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information.
* Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools – Excellent report writing skills.
* Time management essential to satisfy demands of busy schedule and reporting calendar.
