Position: Social Care Worker with Crosscare Aftercare Service

Work Schedule: Full Time 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: €36,879 - €45,795 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Reporting to: Manager of Crosscare Aftercare Service
The Role
To help provide a day service for young care leavers in the 18 to 27 age category. To support the service users with their day-to-day needs, housing, welfare, and other necessary interventions. To support all initiatives of the service and to represent the service as necessary within Crosscare and to external bodies. To case manage a small number of aftercare client cases.
General Responsibilities
1. To provide a warm and welcoming environment to service users.
2. Become proficient in all areas of aftercare work.
3. Liaise with other agencies who support care leavers.
4. To support the day-to-day operational work of the project.
5. To work effectively as part of the aftercare team.
6. To work for the best possible outcomes for all service users.

7. Excellent computer & communication skills.
8. A full clean driving licence.
Qualification Required & Experience Required
1. Be in possession of a relevant qualification that allows for CORU registration.
2. Have a minimum of 1 year work experience in the field or a related field.
3. Experience of dealing with Child Protection issues.
