Climate-KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community) is Europe’s leading climate innovation initiative, entrusted by the European Commission to catalyze transformation through innovation. Headquartered in Amsterdam, with approximately 160 staff across the EU, Climate-KIC leads and orchestrates innovation with a community of over 400 members across 39 countries. We partner with cities, regions, governments, and communities with high climate action ambitions, providing frameworks and expert support to address climate change and accelerate climate action.
As a not-for-profit platform operating through public-private partnerships, we leverage both public and private funding. Our organizational structure includes a Dutch BV Holding company with 14 European branches, providing grant management, innovation orchestration, and impact investment advisory, owned by the Climate-KIC International Foundation, a charity. While traditionally funded by the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), we are transitioning to a multi-funder model.
In this role, as part of the Resilient and Climate Neutral Regions Cluster, you will support the development of Climate-KIC’s ‘Green Horizons Network,’ which aims to empower farmers in their transition towards climate resilience. You will also contribute to implementing the Deep Demonstration in Ireland, focusing on our Dairy Flagship initiative. Deep Demonstrations showcase large-scale, rapid change to accelerate decarbonization and resilience in cities, regions, countries, and businesses. The Dairy Flagship is based on a holistic framework for Sustainable Dairy, identifying conditions for sustainable dairy production.
You will work with stakeholders across the dairy value chain, especially farmers and advisors, involving stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support project management and coordination of the Dairy Flagship within the Ireland Land Agri-Food Deep Demonstration, including:
2. Maintaining and updating the workplan, ensuring alignment with the broader project portfolio
3. Engaging farmers, cooperatives, and community groups
4. Collaborating with key partners and service providers in Ireland and internationally
5. Facilitating workshops on on-farm sustainability
6. Analyzing data and developing methodologies to assist farmer advisors using the Sustainable Dairy Framework
7. Supporting internal and external communications, including developing materials and implementing communication strategies
8. Facilitating project meetings and maintaining accurate records
9. Supporting insights and learning from the Flagship project
10. In your role within the Green Horizons network:
11. Supporting knowledge exchange among farmers and agricultural experts across Europe
12. Co-organizing and facilitating events, webinars, and working groups
13. Developing online tools and methods to enhance productivity and sustainability
Key Working Relationships
You will support the implementation of a complex, multi-stakeholder project and the launch of the online farmers network. This involves working with core Climate-KIC partners, value chain actors, and the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine.
Key relationships include:

* The Ireland Land Agri-Food Deep Demonstration Team, particularly those involved in the Dairy Flagship
* Key sector stakeholders within the Flagship Delivery Team
* The Climate-KIC farmers network and community teams
