An exciting opportunity exists within this family-focused, not-for-profit organisation. Newly created role, supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the development and implementation of controls and procedures in line with Internal Audit, current legislation & best practice. This opportunity is suited to a professional with auditing and/or Compliance experience who wishes to join a charitable organisation. Excellent working conditions with 1-2 days required in the office per week.
Role Responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing recommendations from Internal Audit reviews.
* Assess compliance with internal controls and other applicable regulations.
* Support in filing relevant returns to the relevant charity regulators.
* Assist in maintaining updated internal policies in line with Governance & Risk Committee Schedule, regulatory requirements and/or management organisational decisions.
* Support all Funder reporting and the annual Audit with any Governance documentation requests.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant.
* Accounting/Legal/Economics background.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of risk management, audit or compliance.
* Proficient IT skills, in particular with Excel.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
* An ability to work on own initiative whilst making a significant contribution to the accounts team.
