About Your New Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design products for the water, wastewater, and energy industries.
You will create detailed designs, including 2D drawings, calculations, BOMs, equipment schedules, P&ID diagrams, control philosophies, and component specifications using Solid Works and Auto CAD.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Designing and developing fabrication drawings
* Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients
* Ensuring effective communication throughout project delivery
* Tracking and monitoring information exchanges as per ISO 9001
* Conducting quality checks on products
* Developing risk assessments and method statements
* Liaising with the construction team
* Commissioning equipment
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related product design or engineering subject
* At least 3 years of post-graduation relevant experience in a similar role
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings
* Experience working with Solid Works
* A full current driving licence and access to a car
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Proficiency in MS Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
