We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to manage key accounts within the consumer category, develop strategic growth plans, and foster strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction and success.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting the expansion of our consumer portfolio and driving overall business growth by overseeing contracted sales volumes and margin targets, identifying new opportunities, and commercializing growth volumes across a diverse account portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute customer-centric strategies to drive sales across branded and own-label products.
* Negotiate and influence commercial processes to agree contracts, promotions, new product development, and share of space with customers.
* Advocate for customers, developing cross-functional plans and promoting a customer-focused culture within the business.
* Oversee all agreed customer projects to ensure they consistently meet customer and internal expectations.
* Analyze performance and stay ahead of FMCG trends to deliver actionable insights and implement necessary changes within your set of accounts.
* Key performance metrics include NPD listings, distribution optimization, promotions, product mix, volume, revenue, and margin.
* Ensure prompt communication throughout the business to keep departments informed about own-label projects impacting the business.
* Manage administration tasks (pricing, promotions, etc.) and financial spends carefully, staying within budget.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience working with branded or own-label products.
* Excellent track record of success in growing accounts and relationships.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent negotiation, organization, and presentation skills.
* History of managing P&L, JBP, and promotional activities.
* In-depth understanding of the domestic retail industry.
* Self-motivated, high energy levels, and passion for the industry.
* Able to act quickly, make decisions simply, and have a natural curiosity to change.
