Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business accounts in Ireland and the UK, with a focus on delivering profitable and sustainable growth aligned with the company's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new business accounts within Ireland and the UK to maximize potential opportunities.
* Enhance the growth of existing UK customer accounts through effective management and relationship-building.
* Manage account activities within Ireland and the UK, identifying new opportunities to expand the account portfolio in line with the company's capabilities.
Reporting and Communication
The Business Development Manager will report to Derek Dunwoody (Head of Commercial, Technical & R&D) and provide regular updates on progress using a provided template. The role also involves communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including customers, Procurement Manager, Financial Controller, and Head of Commercial.
Market Research and Analysis
The successful candidate will conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and present proposals for new business development to the management team at sales meetings. They will also analyze consumer needs and behaviors in the ingredients landscape.
Product Development and Management
The Business Development Manager will work closely with R&D and Technical support functions to manage product delists, ensure costs are managed diligently, and promote AllinAll at trade shows such as the F.I.E. when required.
Requirements and Credentials
The ideal candidate should have experience in the food industry, preferably with a background in ingredients and technical experience. A good understanding of grant funding and government agencies that can assist in managing overall costs related to the job function is also essential.
