Fundraising and Development Coordinator
We are seeking a talented and EXPERIENCED Fundraising and Development Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing fundraising efforts, managing donor relationships, and developing strategies to support the organization’s mission and growth.
Job Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reports to the Executive Director and is evaluated annually by the Executive Director.
* Works jointly with the Executive Director to raise funds for activities for the residents.
* This position requires a flexible schedule due to the 24/7 operations of a residential facility, which may exceed 40 hours from time to time.
* This position is an in-office and street fundraising/canvassing position.
* Ensures the financial viability of the organization by supervising the accounting and budgeting; monitors income and expenses.
* Maintain good standings with corporate credit card issued in your name.
* Enhance and diversify revenue streams by creating and implementing a detailed development & fundraising plan that includes new events, writing grants, cultivating new donors, and stewarding existing donors.
* Oversee the management of the donor database and all grant reporting requirements.
* Develop and implement strategic communications and marketing strategies.
* Serves as key spokesperson and visible ambassador to increase public awareness of the organization.
* Manage all donated items for residents, documenting items and confirming donor acknowledgment.
* Promote and manage inquiries with the Chef for the Night program.
* Coordinate meals delivered by volunteers.
* Coordinate a minimum of one large fundraising event annually for up to 500 patrons.
* Interact and work collaboratively with co-workers, volunteers, and the Board of Directors.
* Demonstrate success in building and cultivating community relationships that generate revenue.
* Work with the Accounting & Database Manager to create a positive image in the community.
* Manage all social media sites associated with the organization.
* Document all activities and appointments on a shared calendar.
* Support the Board of Directors and committees by assisting with the organization of meetings.
* Adhere to all regulatory requirements associated with DCS and contracted agencies.
* Attend all monthly Board of Directors meetings and certain monthly Standing Committee meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in institutional advancement, marketing, accounting or related fields. Prior nonprofit fundraising experience is REQUIRED. Experience managing finances in a business or nonprofit setting, and maintaining records for filing annual IRS 990 and audit. Must be able to work in a team environment and inspire staff through effective leadership. Competent in making presentations and public speaking. Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
