Project Engineer - Pharmaceuticals - County Sligo
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for a Project Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility. Responsibilities
1. Prepare agenda and reports for PMO meetings to ensure awareness of project progress and issues of interest to the Global Packaging team.
2. Support department Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Plan submissions by analyzing projects for accuracy and detail.
3. Write project justifications (Request for Capital Expenditure), including savings analysis that may be generated with the investment. Initiate capital project ideas dealing with safety and quality improvement, capacity increase, and/or cost reduction.
4. Serve as department spokesperson on projects and/or programs. Act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
5. Ensure awareness of project status and issues. Develop and present project updates.
6. Act as the system owner for the PMO portfolio SharePoint application.
7. Support department Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Plan submissions by analyzing projects for accuracy and detail.
Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 5+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
2. Demonstrated excellence in breadth and depth within discipline and across disciplines.
3. Ability to interact well with diverse groups within engineering and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
4. Strong Project Management skills.
5. Ability to listen to and understand others' points of view and articulate tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
6. Ability to work well with other engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced goal-driven environment.
7. Strong presentation and management communication skills.
8. Possess interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.
9. Strong meeting collaboration skills. Ability to interact well with diverse groups within engineering and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
10. Technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, or similar industries (preferred).
