Overview The Endoscopy Unit in Louth County Hospital consists of 2 procedure rooms currently-and is part of the perioperative division covering Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Louth County Hospital. The Endoscopy service in Louth County covers elective endoscopy procedures. The unit is JAG accredited. The Endoscopy Unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital covers elective and emergency procedures. The client group is adult cases from Dublin and North East, covering Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, and North Dublin and beyond. The team structure includes ANP's, CNM3, CNM2, CNS, staff nurses, HCAs, decontamination operatives and multi-task attendants who work collaboratively with surgeons and gastroenterologists on a daily basis- currently five days a week in Louth County and seven days a week in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. In line with service expansion a 5/7 roster is part of the contract. There is currently permanent whole-time vacancy available in Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, Co. Louth (37.5 hours per week). A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Louth County Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital from which current and future CNM1 permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration in Endoscopy may be filled. HSE Dublin and North East provides health and social care to North Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and most areas of Cavan. Professional Qualifications & Experience Are registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann) or entitled to be so registered. And Have at least 3 years post registration experience of which 1 must be in the speciality area of Endoscopy within the last 5 years. And Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role And Candidates must demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development. Annual registration Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann). And Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
