The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and cooperative Logistics professional to manage day-to-day transportation operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join an exciting, collaborative team.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics and excellent data-driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with carriers, influence others, pull and review data with ease, make process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work unassisted in a dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
1. Coordinate day-to-day transportation operations to ensure all shipments are being managed in the most efficient way with the highest quality service to the customer.
2. Collaborate with carriers (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers.
3. Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting as needed.
4. Publish performance metrics to assist with achieving business results.
5. Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and take actions based on available data.
6. Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to improve efficiency in AWS’s transportation operations.
7. Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implement standards.
8. Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs.

Minimum Qualifications
1. 2 years work experience in the logistics/transportation industry.
2. 2 years experience managing relationships with or working for transportation providers within Europe.
3. Experience using MS Excel based tools, spreadsheets, and ability to navigate and interpret data.
4. Qualification in logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field.
5. Experience in transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments.
6. Demonstrated experience with air, sea, and road freight.
7. Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
