Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing house accounts to strengthen our position in the market.
* Penetrate the organizational structure of these accounts to develop relationships at all levels, going beyond the primary point of contact.
* Understand the customers' business strategies and our role within their organizations.
* Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up and address any issues promptly.
* Communicate service-related concerns to Department Managers or Supervisors.
* Maintain a list of action items and update it weekly for follow-up purposes.
* Identify opportunities to grow the business from existing house accounts.
* Make 10 calls per week, with a preliminary schedule submitted by Monday afternoon. Mondays and Fridays are reserved for setup and follow-up activities, while Tuesdays through Thursdays are dedicated to making calls.
* Assist with collections as needed.
* Manage client profiles, organized by location.
* Create territory maps showing the number of accounts in each city and update them monthly.
* Participate in team-selling efforts and provide technical updates to LAM accounts using EI systems and demos.
* Collaborate with sales and operations teams at appropriate times.
* Share the weekly schedule with all departments to facilitate coordination and joint account visits.
* Hand over significant business opportunities and proposals to Sales and operational issues to Ops.
* Manage Business Reviews, aiming for at least one per account per year.
* Continuously seek improvements in procedures and services to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Take lead responsibility for delivering local (branch) services efficiently.
* Assist in problem resolution for issues outside the local branch, if needed.
* E nsure that a functioning invoicing-payment process is in place.
* Meet with local customers to maintain customer information and satisfaction.
* Dedicate yourself to the success of Expeditors and the program, upholding ethical business practices, personal commitment, passion, and an obsession with the fundamental details of running the business.
Qualifications
Requirements- Skills, Education, Experience:
* High school degree or equivalent business qualifications.
* Minimum two years of experience in Expeditors or a related industry.
* Able to create/write customer requirements clearly for use by other Expeditor employees.
* Familiarity with required Expeditors operating systems and proficiency in PC skills, including word processing.
* Demonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skills.
* Level one Account Management certification.
* Level one Sales certification.
