My client is a well-established manufacturer of high-quality, unique sliced cooked meats, operating in Clones, Co. Monaghan for 39 years. With continued success and rapid growth, my client has plans to expand its facility in late 2025, creating further opportunities for career advancement.
Shift Pattern:
Shift times: 06:45 - 14:45 and 14:45 - 21:45.Alternating weekly shifts (one week morning, the next week evening).39-hour workweek with overtime paid at time and a half.Night shifts are handled by a dedicated team; this role does not require night shifts.
Role Overview:
The High-Risk Packing Area Supervisor will oversee production in a high-risk environment, ensuring that efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. As part of supervisory training, the candidate will rotate through multiple areas in the factory to develop a comprehensive understanding of the production process, company procedures, and workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure production and efficiency targets are met.Train new staff and provide ongoing training for existing employees.Maintain high-quality standards and ensure all work meets company expectations.Collaborate with management and the Quality Control (QC) department to resolve issues.Report machine issues to the maintenance department.Ensure orders are fulfilled as directed by the Production Manager.Implement and enforce hygiene regulations.Conduct HACCP and hygiene checks as required.Ensure compliance with policies governing the slicing of Halal cooked meat.Enforce Health & Safety regulations and conduct necessary checks.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in the food industry.Third-level qualification in Food Science or Engineering (advantageous but not essential).Knowledge or experience of Lean Manufacturing principles.
