Overview of the Role
PM Group is a leading international engineering, architecture, project, and construction management firm with a network of offices in Europe, Asia, and the US.
We have a multi-discipline team of 3,500 people who deliver complex capital projects in various sectors such as life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy, and environmental.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability (ES) professional to join our Group Construction Services team.
The successful candidate will champion the development and implementation of Construction Environmental and Sustainability programs across our Construction Projects within the PM Group network.
This senior client-facing leadership role requires expertise and a belief system that inspires our construction project teams and enables our construction sites to become 'Best in Class' from an environmental and sustainability perspective.
The role involves flexibility in relation to travel throughout Ireland, UK, and Western Europe.
Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of Construction ES programs across our Construction Projects.
* Champion the drive for decarbonisation, low energy, renewable techniques, and sustainable alternative fuels for our Construction Projects.
* Ensure environmental and sustainability legislative requirements are implemented across our Construction Projects.
* Drive the implementation of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and low-carbon building materials across our Construction Projects.
* Implementation of systems and procedures for the Construction elements of LEED, BREEAM, WELL, BCA Greenmark/other assessment schemes.
* Implementation of systems and procedures for NZEB, Low/Net Zero Carbon/Energy Building strategies for our Construction delivery
* Work with our Supply Chain to enhance Construction ES programs.
* Implementation of Construction Environmental Management and Construction Waste Management Plans.
* Implementation of Audit and Compliance programs for our Construction delivery including noise, dust, water, light, incident investigations, planning conditions implementation/adherence etc.
* Capture baseline ES data on Construction Projects for KPI development.
* Ensure all Construction ES programs are kept up to date with new revisions to accreditation programs, industry guidelines, etc.
* Input to CM proposals and Pre-Construction planning from an ES perspective.
* Management of ES Construction Services personnel including recruitment, liaison, onboarding, coordination, training, development, and mentoring.
* Liaise with the Group Head of Sustainability to align Construction ES Programs with Group programs.
* Work closely with Group ES Services and local Business Units Heads of Construction to enhance and develop the overall service delivery.
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated capability in Construction ES Program implementation including relevant software and/or digital applications.
* Professional Qualification in Architecture/Engineering/Environmental/Sustainability/Construction or related subject.
* Qualifications in the following; LEED AP BD&C / ID+C and/or BREEAM AP.
* 8+ year's professional experience in sustainability/energy consultant or related position.
* Excellent knowledge of sustainable design practices and international experience desirable.
* Proven track record in ES Leadership.
* Excellent knowledge and strong understanding of ES statutory requirements.
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
