Summary: The Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) Operational Technology (OT) Architect will play a pivotal role in advancing Zoetis' digital transformation by driving IT/OT strategic automation and digital initiatives to deliver "Connected Sites" across the GMS network. In this role, you will lead the phased rollout of Zoetis' global IT/OT secure convergence architecture across Zoetis GMS worldwide, providing expert technical leadership to integrate current and legacy OT automation systems into Zoetis' standardized IT/OT framework. The role requires strong IT/OT architectural expertise and hands-on experience in integrating Automation systems into IT environments, including OT Purdue levels 0-3 RLAN, RDMZ, ELAN, and both Zoetis owned and third-party cloud environments, while leveraging a strong background in designing large-scale OT solutions from sensor to cloud. This role will work closely with global ZTD towers, GMS automation teams, the ZTD GMS PMO office, enterprise, and cloud architects to deliver secure, scalable OT solutions. The ZTD OT architect role will be essential in driving digital maturity and fully connected manufacturing sites for Zoetis GMS. Key Responsibilities: Architect and support the integration of current, new, and obsolete OT systems (Levels 1-2) at new IT/OT secure convergence architecture and existing manufacturing sites Lead the technical design and phased implementation of Zoetis' IT/OT secure convergence architecture across GMS sites Facilitate site-wide IT/OT assessments and workshops to identify gaps and develop comprehensive IT/OT remediation plans, including scope, budget, and timelines Collaborate with ZTD IT towers, project managers, and GMS OT Automation teams to integrate automation solutions into Zoetis' IT/OT framework Develop, update, and maintain documentation and standards for IT/OT architecture Ensure all IT/OT initiatives align with Zoetis' business and technology strategies Provide architectural guidance for OT-specific projects, ensuring secure and scalable solutions Conduct assessments and recommend improvements for OT systems and processes Drive innovation by leveraging emerging OT trends, tools, and technologies Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field and/or Computer Science 10+ years of relevant experience Extensive experience in architecting automation solutions and controls from the OT domain (levels 1, 2, and 3) into IT domains and cloud environments Proven experience with Automation LAN and virtualization technologies for OT domains Strong understanding of OT and IT integration processes and standards including GMP environments Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment with minimum guidance Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Architecting OT automation solutions, understanding OT level 1 and level 2 systems, into IT domains for both new and brownfield manufacturing sites RLAN and OT virtualization technologies and industry OT standards Architectural IT/OT design skills, technical documentation, and project management Implementing RLAN and virtualization, OT system improvement recommendations Experience and solid knowledge with Automation control systems in pharmaceutical environments DCS, BMS, EMS, SCADA etc from multiple OEMs (i.e. Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, DeltaV, others etc) Strong communication and collaboration skills, providing technical support, and problem-solving Working independently and with teams, aligning OT architecture with business strategies, and staying updated with OT and IT trends Experience integrating OT Automation applications & data pipelines engineering into Azure Cloud abstractions is highly desirable Solid knowledge of Virtualization engineering for Converged and Hyperconverged architectures for the OT domain, OT networking design and segmentation is highly desirable Travel Requirements: Up to 15% travel required.
