Job Description
An experienced buyer is required for a growing FMCG company in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 5 years of experience in purchasing and/or procurement, looking to leverage their skills to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of stock inventory management, ensuring optimal reorder levels to maximize customer availability.
* Develop long-term supplier relationships through joint business planning and category partnership development.
* Maintain effective vendor relationships and communication.
* Foster strong interdepartmental connections to drive collaborative success.
* Design and implement strategic buying plans to achieve revenue, margin, quality, and market share growth objectives in line with the company's overall strategy.
* Manage pricing activities, including cost negotiations, discounts, rebates, and promotional support.
Requirements:
* Degree-level education.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial function within a retail or wholesale environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proven track record of delivering commercial results in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
