Job Title: Aircraft Leasing Financial Analyst

The Role
Reporting to the SVP Pricing, this role involves researching, evaluating, and developing commercial, strategic, and financial analysis as a key partner in deal execution with various teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Deal Activity: Collaborate proactively within cross-functional deal teams for transactions of all types, including Sale & Leaseback, Placement, Remarketing, Restructuring, Trading, and OEM.
* Financial Analysis: Perform bespoke financial analysis and prepare ad-hoc financial models for investment opportunities and portfolio management decisions.
* Interpretation and Communication: Recognize key elements from modelling results, interpret, evaluate, and effectively communicate insights.
* Deal Structuring: Add value by providing advice on optimal deal structuring through combining knowledge of assets, financial metrics, and deal economics.
* Business Planning: Ensure familiarity with the corporate business plan and structure deals to meet business plan hurdles.
* Aircraft Maintenance: Understand all aircraft maintenance and technical aspects of a deal that have an economic impact.
* Accounting and Profit/Loss Impact: Evaluate the accounting and profit/loss impact of proposed deals and provide insightful guidance.
* Approval Committee: Input into Approval Committee papers for deal approval.
Modelling
* Transaction Modelling and Analysis: Calculate transaction yield returns, present value of cashflows, accounting profit & loss impacts, and aircraft asset valuations.
* Model Development: Build/maintain long-term financial models/tools to increase efficiency and contribute to the organization's success.
The Person
You will be naturally numerate and possess a passion for financial and commercial analysis. You will have an ability to handle large volumes of data and information, deal with high complexity, and draw clear conclusions through insightful analysis.
Skills and Experience:
* Quantitative Honours Degree: e.g. finance, actuarial, engineering, science etc. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA) is an advantage.
* Financial Modelling Experience: Minimum two years financial modelling experience within aircraft leasing, aviation lending, structured finance, banking, or financial services.
* Numerical and Analytical Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and critical analysis skills, proven ability to find creative solutions to extract value.
* Commercial Acumen: Highly commercial, thorough, with keen attention to detail and an ability to identify critical issues and effectively communicate to stakeholders.
* Big Picture Perspective: Ability to review the 'big picture' from a commercial perspective.
