Your New Role:
Reporting to the Head of HR, the Industrial Training Coordinator will collaborate with managers and external providers to ensure the workforce is highly skilled and competent. A key aspect of the role is conducting Training Needs Analyses (TNA) to design effective learning and development programmes, alongside delivering practical training and managing external training courses.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Deliver in-house training on systems, procedures, and operational tasks, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and competency assessments.
2. Carry out Training Needs Analyses (TNA) to identify skills gaps and ensure training programmes address organisational requirements.
3. Ensure all training aligns with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
4. Work with managers to organise external training, including statutory and OEM-specific programmes.
5. Maintain accurate training records, update the Learning Management System (LMS), and manage training administration.
6. Conduct regular audits of the training system, addressing any gaps and implementing corrective actions.
7. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements.
8. Manage training budgets in collaboration with department leaders.
9. Support operational activities as needed, while prioritising training commitments.
What are we looking for?
1. A Training Skills Certificate (QQI Level 6) or willingness to achieve this qualification.
2. Proven experience conducting Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and implementing tailored training solutions.
3. Experience in a training or learning and development role, ideally in heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial sectors.
4. Practical knowledge of equipment operation and a strong understanding of production challenges.
5. Excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills.
6. Proficiency in IT systems and a keen attention to detail in training administration.
