What is the role about?
The Project Team Lead will support our Global Logistics Operations Center (G-LOC) in Ireland and responsible for leading a team of project specialists to support and lead all projects for further expanding the Global Transportation Network (GTN), setting up Hubs, and develop the Transportation Management Platform (TMP) / infrastructure including carrier Integration.
Which tasks will you perform?
Team Lead
* Supervise a team of people in the organization and delivery of their daily tasks.
* Manage a shift system to monitor all Regional and Country Hub requirements ensuring shifts are resourced appropriately and considering all global and local work environments, to deliver service excellence for all E+H Production Centers (PC) and Sales Centers (SC) worldwide.
* Participate in the recruitment of new team members and support the development of a team of people with a passion for excellence and pride in delivering an exceptional service.
* Design and implement a training and induction process to support new and experienced team members in upskilling and continuous knowledge development.
* Embrace and promote the use of the Learning platform, encouraging team members to take every opportunity to support their own development.
* Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations, supporting team members to develop and grow through the provision of regular feedback and identifying areas for development.
* Play a key role in the growth and development of the G-LOC operation, working with the Head G-LOC and other colleagues to define opportunities for success.
* Any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as directed by your manager in the development of the role and the G-LOC operation.
Operational
* As part of the team, manage projects to set-up globally new hubs and the relevant IT Infrastructure in Transport Management Platform (TMP) to expand and improve the global transportation network.
* Responsible for all aspects of the delivery of projects from requirements gathering to support handover.
* Set-up a new project management office (PMO) in the Global logistics Operations Center.
* Developing project plans, goals, and budget, identifying resources needed.
* Developing schedules and methods for measuring results.
* Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project.
* Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
* Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate.
* Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
* Prepare Risk Management and Contingency Plans. Any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as requested by your line manager.
What do we expect from you?
* Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field with 8-12 years’ experience working in IT/Logistics Project Management.
* Experience leading projects with logistics background or high logistics affinity especially in Transportation Management Platform as well Carrier Integration.
* Project Management skills in waterfall or agile methodologies and Lean Six Sigma.
* Experience in Project Management within Logistics and Transportation; demonstrable evidence of successful project delivery.
* Experience in supervising a team with strong problem-solving skills.
* In a VUCA world, able to respond to disruptions in the process and set the right priorities.
* Very organized and autonomous, with the ability to manage several projects concurrently and complete projects.
* Fluent spoken and written knowledge of English, one additional language -French, Spanish, German, or Chinese are an advantage.
* Great communicator and facilitator comfortable working across organizational boundaries and managing internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience working in multi-cultural, globally dispersed teams and in a matrix organization.
* Able to travel globally when required up to 50% if required; having a driver license would be an advantage.
