UPMC Western Behavioral Health Pine Center Acute Partial and IOP supports adolescents experiencing acute symptoms of depression and anxiety. Our program supports adolescents in stabilizing their mental health before stepping down to a lower level of care, such as outpatient. A main goal of our program is to assist adolescents in maintaining safety without the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
Our programs are evidence based and focus on teaching adolescents skills in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. This position typically works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM but will be expected to work till 5:30 PM two to three times a week to support our evening group (days and availability varies).
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and monitor group activities for patients in collaboration with the team.
2. Track and summarize daily progress notes and data for assigned patients, covering educational, behavioral, and skills development programs.
3. Work cooperatively in a trans-disciplinary environment under the supervision of senior staff.
4. Participate in behavioral and functional assessments of patients.
5. Maintain professional rapport with co-workers, patients, and visitors.
6. Coordinate data management for program evaluation and report findings to the clinical community.
7. Assess and monitor skills development programs (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy).
8. Assist in monitoring patient satisfaction from various stakeholders (teachers, parents, child, outside agencies).
