Job Title: Social Care Manager
Responsible for overseeing the care provided to young people residing in an Odyssey Social Care house and managing the staff who deliver this care.
Main Duties:
* Ensure the safety, professionalism, and maximized potential of all children and young people in Odyssey Social Care's services.
* Safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of all staff employed by Odyssey Social Care.
* Directly manage and support Social Care Leaders and other care staff under your supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Care of Young People - Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in our care.
* Staff Welfare - Safeguard the health and well-being of all staff.
* Environment Management - Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for young people.
* Team Management - Lead a cohesive and effective staff team in delivering high-quality services.
* Financial Control - Manage the house budget and ensure spending remains within approved limits.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Care Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained in our residential setting.
You will work closely with our Regional Manager and other key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to improve the lives of the young people in our care.
This role requires a strong understanding of childcare practice, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications:
* Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
* 4 years of full-time work experience in a children's residential care setting post-qualification.
Competencies:
* Full, clean Garda vetting for Ireland and police clearance for any other country where the post-holder has resided for more than 6 months.
* Sound knowledge of professional childcare practice and detailed knowledge of the National Standards for Residential Childcare.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and support individuals and teams effectively.
