Employer Relations Executive – Contract – Galway/West of Ireland
The representative lobbying organisation and HR services provider seeks to hire an experienced ER Executive on a contract basis. As the Senior ER Executive, you will provide high-quality and insightful industrial relations; HR and advocacy services to their members.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct advisory and advocacy services to members.
* Offer specialist industrial relations and human resource support to members.
* Represent member companies before third-party employment bodies.
* Represent member companies in union/company negotiations.
* Maintain strong business partnership relationships with members.
* Develop content for publications as required.
* Contribute to training courses in Industrial Relations/Human Resource.
* Deliver training in Industrial Relations/Human Resource.
* Represent employers' interests on external committees.
* Participate actively on various project teams.
* Stay up-to-date with employment law, industrial relations, and human resource developments.
* Liaise with member companies regarding subscription payments.
* Promote and support membership development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in HR/IR/Employment Law (preferable).
* Full clean driving licence and access to own car (essential).
* Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law and its application in unionised and non-unionised workplaces.
* Familiarity with Industrial Relations and Human Resource Developments in Ireland and globally.
* Understanding of the role of third-party IR and employment institutions in Ireland.
* Awareness of competitive, regulatory, and cost issues facing businesses in Ireland.
* Knowledge of the business environment in West of Ireland (an advantage).
* Experience representing companies at third-party industrial relations institutions.
* IR/HR experience and/or people management experience.
* Ability to interface regularly with senior company executives up to CEO level.
* Working experience in representative or consultancy capacities for businesses.
* Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours.
