We are presently recruiting for a Grade III Clerical officer for our client's Listowel, County Kerry Office. Working in a busy office, you will be interacting with service users and ensuring that services records are fully up to date. As a Clerical officer, you will perform data entry, assist in all aspects of payroll for staff and play a vital role in ensuring services run efficiently. This is an initial three-month contract with option for renewal.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide office support, answer queries and provide a reception / telephone service.
2. Manage data – including maintaining, correcting, collating, interrogating, validating and processing data.
3. Maintain accurate up to date records filing systems and records (computerised / paper copy).
4. Assist in and/or prepare reports as necessary.
5. Provide required information and support to Service Managers and teams, team members, clients, patients, members of the public etc.
6. Action all communications in a timely manner.
7. Undertake any other administrative support and assignments as directed.
8. Represent the Service in a positive manner.
9. Ensure that service users are treated with dignity and respect.
10. Identify potential problems/inconsistencies in a timely manner and consult with Line Manager as appropriate.
Skills and experience:
1. Have a minimum of two years’ experience in Administration.
2. Hold a minimum of leaving certificate or similar.
3. Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards.
This is an initial contract position with options of extensions. Salary is €16 per hour.
