Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Maintenance and Management:
- Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all facilities.
- Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.
- Coordinate and manage all facility-related services and activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Engage and manage third-party service providers.
- Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost-effectiveness of services.
- Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance.
2. Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget.
- Monitor expenses and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
3. Space Planning:
- Manage office space allocation and planning.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and functionality.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and manage health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and drills.
- Lead and manage the facilities team.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
5. Project Management:
- Plan and oversee renovations, refurbishments, and building projects.
- Coordinate and manage timelines, budgets, and resources for projects.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.
Skills:
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in facility management software (e.g., FMX, Hippo CMMS).
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
* High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
