Salary Scale: €63,310 - €101,461 p.a.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s degree (Level 9 NFQ) in Project Management or cognate area.
* Specialist subject matter expertise within the field of project management, (both theoretical & practical)
* Teaching Qualification, or Project Management Training Delivery Experience.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to and enhance the teaching and collaboration initiatives across the areas of project management. The role holder at this level will be individuals with significant experience in university teaching. They will contribute specialist research expertise and authoritative understanding to the delivery of the Department’s teaching programme by providing high quality teaching and learning within a programme for which a member of academic staff carries overall responsibility.
Teaching and Curriculum Development
* Contribute specialist research expertise and authoritative understanding to the delivery of the Department’s teaching programme by providing high quality teaching and learning within project management programmes.
* Lead on design, development, delivery, assessment and evaluation of entirely new or significant teaching & learning support activities.
* Demonstrate significant depth of discipline knowledge to teach and ensure quality control at a range of levels and on a range of modules.
* Deliver a range of modules at undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-experience levels in the areas of project management, both on-campus and online delivery to the highest academic standards.
* Be responsible for the oversight of various teaching and learning related management duties for example coordinating and developing undergraduate or taught postgraduate programmes/modules.
* Demonstrate innovation in the development, or application of, teaching and/or assessment and feedback methods, or support departmental initiatives that improve learning environments and approaches to student support, using learning technologies where appropriate and has evidence of the dissemination of these practices.
* Facilitate experiential student learning through seminars, in-company projects, and online learning modes.
* Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, accreditation, curriculum review and design.
* Design and develop project management curriculum across programmes.
* Develop online learning resources within field of project management.
* Provide research supervision for taught postgraduate students.
Administration and Outreach
* Engage with stakeholders through knowledge exchange activities, student projects, and executive education.
* Active engagement in accreditation activities for the business school.
* Contribute to management in areas such as administration and longer-term planning.
* Take a formal lead in enhancing the quality of teaching in the discipline.
* Actively participate in relevant boards and committees.
* Represent the Department/University in appropriate fora.
* Contribute to raising the University’s profile through external networks in the subject or professional area and/or through the creation and development of commercial/industrial partnerships.
* Undertake course-related administrative tasks and other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Essential Criteria:
* Master’s degree (Level 9 NFQ) in Project Management or cognate area.
* Specialist subject matter expertise within the field of project management, (both theoretical & practical)
* 5 Years project management experience.
* Teaching Qualification, or Project Management Training Delivery Experience.
Desirable Criteria:
* A doctorate (Level 10 NFQ) within the field of project management or cognate field.
* Experience in the delivery of on-campus and/or online and blended learning programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Experience in design and assessment of programme, training, or teaching content.
* Administrative experience of managing a portfolio of teaching, training/consultancy, and research.
* Administrative experience in managing module delivery, assessment, and student engagement.
* Evidence of experience of working with companies and engaging in collaborations.
