We are inviting applications for an Assistant Project Manager for Food Academy / Taste of Local in the Musgrave Trading team.
Reporting to the Food Academy Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for optimising their contribution to the development of local andIrish producers through Irelands leading supplier development programme under our sourcing for good pillar as part of our Sustainability objectives.
Key responsibilities of the role will include the following but not limited to Manage, support andrespond to a large range of food academy producers on a day to day basis Manage andmentor producers to grow sustainably, within a local, central billing or warehouse supply distribution channel Manage introduction of new producers annuallyto retail trial stores Responsible for performance management andengagement of new producers during 20 week trial period Weekly reporting analysis of producers sales by store to ensure optimum sales performance Maintaining an "Always On Digital approach to social media across Instagram/ Facebook & Tik Tok across producers & competitors, as well as being able critique andadvise producers on activity required around marketing Support Food Academy Manager as required for training modules during the Food Academy Training programme Liase with Regional Managers /Fresh Food Advisors and Owned Storessales team to identify underperforming stores and identify sales opportunities Conduct store visits to monitor blockogram implementation and resolve service level or ranging issues where applicable.
Re-merchandising layouts if required.
Manage the change in offer to consumers through blockogram creation twice a year, to ensure an optimum serviced range to stores to reflect and optimize consumer trends.
Mentor producers at each stage of growth life cycle from new producer to established producer to ensure that profitability objectives for producers, Musgrave and customers are being met.
Drive retailer support for Taste of Local by being creative & innovative in ensuring continued support of small local & Irish producers, by developing excellent long term relationships with Retail Partners.
Work cross functionally with Marketing, Store Development, Trading andSales teams.
The successful candidate will have / be: Third level qualification and/or at least 2 years experience operating in a commercial function e.g.
Trading, Marketing, Sales or Supply Chain Digitally proficient on social media platforms to understand, critique & advise producer marketing activity Instagram/ Facebook/ Tik Tok Genuine passion and interest in food, food trends, and future consumer innovation Ability to multitask, problem solve and work on own initiative Strong interpersonal, influence skills with an ability to build long term stable relationships Proficient with the MS Office suite - Word /Excel/PowerPoint Proven analytical and communication skills with a functional knowledge of the product supply chain would be a distinct advantage.
Adaptable, with a strong team ethic and proven ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
