Purpose of the Role This role is within the Group Finance function.
The successful candidate will play a key role within area of tax compliance and tax planning. This role will interact with middle and senior management and will offer exposure to a variety of areas. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious qualified tax specialist to learn and get exposure to many financial aspects of a large fast-moving business.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Develop and outline best practise for Corporate Tax compliance and reporting Rollout compliance framework across the group Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns & Tax Computations for UK and Ireland Preparation of Dividend Withholding Tax Returns & Stamp Duty Returns Work with outsourced provider on the completion of corporate tax returns for other relevant jurisdictions Be the lead on tax audits and projects when they arise Support the Group Head of Tax in the provision of accurate tax advice to internal partners (e.g.
Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury etc) in an efficient and timely manner.
Offer guidance on complex tax issues, interpret tax legislation and advise the Group on the tax implications of various transactions or business decisions.
Liaising with Revenue & HMRC as and when required Monitor tax law changes in various jurisdictions and assess impact on the business Advise the business on the tax implications of corporate decisions BEPS, preparation of documentation required in each jurisdiction to comply with transfer pricing legislation and maintain on an ongoing basis.
Advising the business units on queries re indirect taxes around the movement of product Carry out a review of the VAT status of the group and conduct VAT audits Compliance checks and reviews with business units In addition to the above the role will offer exposure to a variety of other opportunities which could arise during the course of the business which will have a tax aspect to be considered.

* Property related projects Key Skills &
Knowledge Essential:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and/or CTA qualification.
Significant experience in a tax specialist role (practice or industry) Up to date knowledge of Irish and UK corporate tax legislation Strong written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience in AlphaTax is desirable Capacity to interact with senior management and other functional areas Good communication & presentation skills Ability to work on own initiative and as well as part of team Ability to manage time and perform to strict deadlines Attention to detail and a desire to complete work to a high standard Education & Qualifications: Qualified chartered tax advisor ("CTA") and qualified chartered accountant ("ACA") Desirable: Experience in the FMCG Food sector Exposure to corporate taxes in other jurisdictions Exposure to other taxes - VAT, Duty would be preferable Management of Revenue audits High attention to detail and ability to manage large workloads under tight deadlines.
