Job Title: Shipping Administrator
We are seeking an experienced professional with strong experience from the shipping, freight or logistics sector who is now looking for a new challenge.
Our client, a long-established and highly reputable employer in the shipping industry, is expanding their team in west Co. Limerick due to increased business levels.
The Job
As a key part of the shipping operations team and reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administration and operations coordination duties.
This will include acting as point of contact for customers and external partners/contractors, coordinating the movements of vessels to and from port, stock/inventory and warehouse operations reporting, maintaining accurate import and export documentation, planning for incoming traffic, resolving queries and supporting the management team with their ongoing duties.
Experience/Skills Required:
* Third-level qualification ideal.
* 2-3+ years' experience ideally gained in a relevant shipping, freight, logistics or similar role.
* Full and clean driving license, as well as own transport essential.
* Proven ability to multi-task and work with diverse teams.
* Strong IT skills.
* Availability to work 1 weekend in 4 and occasional on call but time off during the week to balance.
