Role Overview:In order to support continued growth, WaterWipes is looking for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join the team on a temporary basis. You will work within the current Quality Assurance environment, directly within the in-house Microbiology Laboratory to complete a varied set of duties and responsibilities with specific emphasis on Quality Control testing procedures.Please note this role will be onsite 5 days per week in our Drogheda, Ireland office.Closing date for Applications is 9th April 2025.Key Duties:Quality Testing: Perform environmental, water, and lab support testing to ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and regulatory standards.Raw Materials & Finished Goods: Test raw materials and finished products, ensuring safety and quality.Support Innovation: Assist with trials and analyze trial materials for the Innovation and Technical Departments.Process Simulations: Conduct inspections and growth promotion testing.Reporting: Prepare trend reports and maintain accurate records.Compliance & Safety: Support safety initiatives and maintain lab compliance.Equipment Management: Operate and maintain lab equipment, including HPLC and GC.Stock Management: Manage lab stock levels and perform general housekeeping.Training & Development: Participate in training and development opportunities.Audit Preparation: Prepare for and participate in external and internal audits.Key Requirements:Bachelor Degree or higher preferred; ideally in a Science (Microbiology) discipline.Minimum 1 year’s experience gained within a GLP environment.Experience in ISO 17025:2005, preferable but not essential.Capable of planning, executing and delivering testing procedures and reporting within specified timeframes.Ability to follow through and prioritise.Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.Experience in providing demonstrations and writing technical reports.The ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment.The ability to learn specific, practical techniques and apply this knowledge to solve technical problems.Good hand and eye coordination and the ability to use technical equipment with accuracy.Core Competencies:Communication: Ensures that appropriate information is disseminated, received, and understood.
