Our client, an established Hospital in North Dublin, wishes to recruit a Chief Sustainability Officer to join the team.

Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the Chief Sustainability Officer will work with Hospital CEOs, Hospital leads, and Shared Service leaders to address the Hospitals Health System's approach to environmental responsibility with the strategic aim to minimise the health system's environmental impact, embedding sustainability into processes and decision making, fostering a culture and awareness of sustainability, and ensuring alignment with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), contributing to a healthier future for our patients, employees, and communities.
Ideal Candidate: Qualifications: Degree in Project Management, Finance, Sustainability, Engineering or related field.
Masters qualification in related field, MBA or equivalent (Desirable).
Experience: 3 or more years of management of sustainable reporting aligned to some/all of NFRD, GRI, TFCD, SASB, CDP, IFRS, SFDR.
At least 5 years professional experience in project management, delivering complex projects that include multiple sites and spans across functional teams, OR at least 5 years of professional experience in the sustainability, auditing, or consulting industries focusing on CSRD and ESG Disclosures.
Awareness of business and regulatory changes and trends.
Experience in healthcare, pharma, or medical devices (Desirable).
Skills: Expert knowledge and understanding of CSRD.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to interact at all levels of management, consultants, and clients, especially C-suite.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop actionable business development plans.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
Availability to travel.
Strong written and communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with project management software.
