The Position
The objective of this position is to give the holder the diversity of opportunity in a dynamic pharmaceutical organisation. It aims to provide the candidate with a multi-disciplinary appreciation of careers within Information Technology and experience of the pharmaceutical sector. The opportunity will be a 2-year fixed term role in duration and will consist of a role within our Information Technology Department with rotations across IT group in areas of applications and infrastructure.
Among your main responsibilities will be:
1. Complete daily backups
2. Entry level IT applications support and representing IT on meetings
3. Providing the general project support
Qualifications
1. Degree level in Computer Science or related discipline to Honours level (if completing degree May/June 2025 results to date should reflect working towards honours grade).
2. Demonstrated self-directed work habits including ability to objectively review and make judgments in context of quality & compliance and effective problem solving.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Strong organisational and planning skills.
5. Proven competency and reliability and flexibility.
6. Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
About the Department
You will be part of our Information Technology Department, which is based in Athlone. Our department is responsible for managing and performing work associated with the analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the organisation's information technology resources. We have a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and gain valuable experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
