Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance Team at Woodie's, the market-leading DIY, Home & Garden retailer in Ireland.
* Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
* Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment requests.
* Manage vendor relationships and address any issues or discrepancies.
* Prepare and review accounts payable reports and other financial reports as required.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, providing training and performance evaluations.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
* Assist with month-end closing and financial audits as needed.
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
