Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have a background in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to assist our Head Chef in managing the team. Key responsibilities include:
* Menu Development: Assist the Head Chef in developing menus that meet our high standards and control food costs and waste.
* Food Preparation: Support the Head Chef in managing the team and assisting with preparing, cooking, and packing lunch for distribution.
* Kitchen Organization: Help keep the kitchen organized and tidy and ensure produce matches orders.
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist with cleaning stations and disposing of expired food.
* Learning and Development: Communicate kitchen responsibilities, develop chef teams skills, and improve culinary knowledge amongst the team.
* Other Duties: Work with all departments on communicating company policies.
* Health and Safety: Ensure food is handled and prepared safely and comply with health and hygiene regulations. HACCP Food Safety Certification and knowledge is required.
* Communication: Interact with all departments and Managers to ensure effective running of production.
* Experience: Have a background in a CPU or busy kitchen environment focusing on a high standard.
* Leadership: Be able to manage a team of people while also being self-driven to achieve company KPIs.
