Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Artic Truck Driver to join our dynamic team based in Offaly. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while upholding the company’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate articulated trucks to transport goods across Ireland.
2. Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes.
3. Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
4. Comply with all road safety and traffic regulations.
5. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
6. Maintain accurate delivery and collection records using the company’s systems.
7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers.
8. Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Valid and current Class CE driver’s license (or equivalent).
2. Up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
3. Minimum of 3 years of articulated truck driving experience.
4. Clean driving record with no major violations.
5. Strong knowledge of Irish road networks and regulations.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
7. Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Attributes
1. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) or tachographs.
2. Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures.
3. Flexibility is required in this position as routes vary from week to week. May also be required to drive a rigid truck on occasion if needed, notice will be given if this is needed.
4. Must be willing to work as part of a team whilst also being able to work on their own initiative.
