Job Title:
Shipping Administrator
Summary:
This role involves providing administrative support in a shipping environment. The ideal candidate will have experience creating international shipping labels and declaring items for export.
Responsibilities:
* Creating labels for all daily shipments, returns, collections, and shipments between sites.
* Booking collections with couriers.
* Updating tracking files and notifying the sales team and clients via email.
* Liaising with courier companies and brokers for shipments with issues or pending customs clearance.
* Investigating problematic shipments and following up on them to ensure timely resolution.
* Goods in/out handling and inspection.
* Storage in accordance with warehouse plan.
* Packing and dispatch.
* Processing administration tasks.
* Assisting in achieving quality and KPI targets.
* Working on own initiative in the absence of Supervisor.
Requirements:
* Experience creating international shipping labels with UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
* Experience declaring items for export.
* Experience dealing with customs clearance brokers.
* Handling and storage of products.
* Effective communicator with good team skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to urgent requirements.
* Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
* Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong administration skills with computer literacy.
* Good understanding of warehouse operations.
* Ability to organize own work to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.
* Flexible attitude to work and hours.
* Good communication skills both verbally and in written form.
* Current driving license (desirable).
