Purchasing and Sales Operative
FRS Recruitment is currently working with a leading Irish Agri Coop to fill a full-time permanent role for a Purchasing and Sales Operative.
Main Responsibilities & Activities
Stores Role
* Perform day-to-day store duties at the central store and yard, ensuring a safe, tidy, and proper environment.
* Unloading, checking, and storing all deliveries arriving into stock.
* Maintain store and yard conditions, adhering to health and safety standards.
Buyer Role
* Collaborate with the purchasing manager on purchasing and supplying stock for 20 business units across Ireland.
* Liaise with managers and stores staff nationwide to determine material requirements, pricing, and product changes.
* Coordinate shipment and logistics for timely delivery of goods.
* Research new products that can benefit the business.
Stock System Maintenance Role
* Record transactions on the IT stock control system, ensuring accurate data entry.
* Generate purchase orders for centrally held stock and stores throughout the country.
* Maintain and reconcile the Stock System and price database.
* Complete regular stocktakes and update the Stock System.
Team Role
* Contribute as an integral member of an efficient and cohesive Materials Management team.
* Participate in online shop development and growth activities.
This role requires a combination of administrative, purchasing, and stores operative work. The ideal candidate will have good IT skills and a hands-on approach.
The successful candidate will come from an Agri, Farming, Construction, Hardware, or General Stores background and may be based in Tipperary, Offaly, or Laois.
