Machine Learning Engineer - Lead / Manager Level Role Daily Rate Contractor Position Excellent position has just opened for a contractor to join a multinational financial services company on a rolling / long-term contract. 6-months initial contract term, rolling / long-term contract. Hybrid Working Model. Role: You will be responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of scalable machine learning (ML) pipelines and robust production models. You will partner with stakeholders to clearly define business outcomes, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will conduct data exploration, research, and analysis to scope, build, and iterate on ML proof of concepts (PoCs). You will implement effective ML monitoring and governance mechanisms. Collaborating closely with different teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and explainability of models. Furthermore, you will develop the strategy, roadmap, and vision for ML engineering and operational practices within the organization. Skills Required: Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering. Minimum of 7 to 10+ yearsof relevant industry experience, includingat least 3 to 5 yearsin a leadership or senior role involving machine learning (ML) projects. Strong background in developing machine learning solutions. Expertise in statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods (including regressions, classification, time-series forecasting, clustering, anomaly detection, and natural language processing techniques). Proven experience in building data pipelines for large-scale historical financial datasets. Familiarity with big data and distributed technologies, such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, or Snowflake. Strong SQL skills and data querying capabilities. Proficient programming skills in Python are mandatory; experience with R or Java/Scala is a plus. Experienced with modern MLOps tools and methodologies, for example, MLFlow and Kubeflow. Skilled in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of automated CI/CD pipelines for ML deployment and model lifecycle management.
