Your role
We are excited to announce that applications are now open for our Operations Graduate Programme. We are looking for graduates who are available to start with us in September 2025! In this two year programme, graduates will rotate through various teams within the Aer Lingus operations function including Flight Operations, Crew Operations, Ground Operations, Operations Control & Safety & Training & Compliance.We are seeking ambitious & motivated graduates who embody our core values—putting safety first, being customer-focused, working stronger together, taking ownership, and always looking forward. If you have a passion for aviation and are ready to embark on a journey where your skills take flight, we want to hear from you! Undertake all necessary regulatory & compliance training necessary to work within the operational area (e.g. ramp safety, manual handling, security awareness etc.)Undertake placements in front line operational areas such as check-in, boarding & arrivals, to gain a detailed understanding of the customer impacts & associated operational roles & decision making to support in the event of operational disruptions.Undertake back-office operational roles in each discipline within the operations portfolio.Help to drive operational excellence, improved customer experience & transformation in the Chief Operations areas.Provide support for the Flight Operations teams across the areas of compliance, training and operations, as well as helping to drive forward some key projects in the areas of sustainability, training & new technology.Understand the critical safety role of cabin operations & required customer focus & care in a live operation. Help to drive operational excellence, in the Inflight Services department, who manage a team over of 2,700 staff.Undertake placements in Ground Operations (Hub and Network Stations), including guest services & ramp operations, that provide passenger & aircraft handling services. Monitor & ensure compliance with standards & procedures & to support the continuous improvement programmes ongoing across these functions.Support the teams within the Global Control Centre (GCC) in leading the daily operation in pre-planning, disruption management and various disciplines of flight planning, crewing, fleet allocation etc.Gain an understanding of On Time Performance (OTP) drivers & operational feedback to commercial schedule planning.Participate in enforcement of Safety and Compliance programmes across all operational areas to ensure our core values of Safety-First are achieved.Support the day to day delivery of the Ground training program for new routes & airport restarts.Understanding of Airport systems function & how it integrates into the Aer Lingus product delivery & Safety management system.Support the Ground Audit/inspection oversight program & how it ensures continuous improvement.Monitor flight operations to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
Your qualifications and key criteria
Your Role continuedDevelop and implement procedures to ensure the safe and efficient handling of passengers, baggage, and cargo.Communicate with passengers, airport personnel and other stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.Monitor and analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Participate in training programs to develop knowledge and skills related to aviation operations, regulations, and safety procedures. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, ideally with a 2.1 qualification.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as required.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Enthusiastic and eager to learn.Desire to gain critical experience to compliment studies.Ability to work well in teams, building trust and working towards a common goal.Eligible to live and work in the EU.Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.Closing Date: 21st March 2025.At Aer Lingus, we embrace diversity and believe in providing equal opportunities to all qualified individuals.
