GoalThe primary goal of the Business Development Manager - Ireland is to drive significant revenue growth by acquiring new customers and fostering the organic growth of existing accounts. This role is integral to expanding Americold's footprint in the Irish market, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the company's strategic growth initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales growth in Ireland, focusing on new customer acquisition and expanding relationships with existing clients.Maintain a robust business development pipeline, ensuring continuity and alignment with Americold's client mix strategy.Proactively approach potential clients, presenting Americold’s temperature-controlled supply chain solutions and demonstrating their value and benefits.Take ownership of Salesforce and other CRM tools, ensuring data accuracy and effective pipeline management.Collaborate with senior stakeholders to maximize profitability, including implementing rate increases and effective yield management.Build and maintain a strong network within the Irish food industry, attending relevant events, fairs, and sector meetings to expand the customer portfolio.Provide strategic insights and support to the Business Development Director, VP Business Development Europe, and other key leaders on commercial activities and opportunities.Stay informed on competitive trends, pricing strategies, and workforce dynamics within the region to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.Required ExperienceBachelor’s or master’s degree in business management or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with a strong focus on business development and client acquisition.Proven track record in the food sector, with a preference for temperature-controlled supply chain, distribution, or logistics.Established network within the Irish food industry and strong knowledge of its market dynamics.Excellent ability to inspire, influence, and build trust with clients and stakeholders based on experience and personality.Preferred QualificationsStrong team player with exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills.Proven negotiation, decision-making, and relationship-building abilities.Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities effectively.
