About Technical Operations
The Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and scaling production for the commercial market.
Our team of engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, ensuring quality assurance and quality control to meet regulatory standards.
We procure goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinate the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
Job Description: Lead Facilities Engineer - Shanbally
We are seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to maintain and improve the Shanbally facility, reporting to the Manager, Engineering & Reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain health and safety standards, coordinating contractor work permits.
* Oversee facility repairs, installations, and maintenance projects.
* Manage civil/structural projects and space planning.
* Handle service contracts for landscaping, fire systems, cleaning, and building upkeep.
* Conduct inspections and integrity testing of underground services.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts for capital and operational expenses.
* Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and local quality procedures.
* Plan and execute site maintenance shutdowns.
* Supervise external service providers and manage the Shanbally Canteen.
* Prepare facilities for audits and special events.
* Oversee the Pest Control Programme.
* Ensure contractor training and documentation compliance.
* Lead investigation teams and manage CAPAs for facility-related issues.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
* 8+ years of facilities engineering experience, preferably in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, civil, electrical, and plumbing systems.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GMP standards.
* Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
